Excerpt:

This is kinda why I've always loved San Diego. After having lived elsewhere for months or years, I think this is a fantastic place to live and work. You can really do whatever you want without being defined. And you can find people who are interested. We're a stone's throw away from LA and Mexico - part of both, but independent from both. We're certainly a kick-back city - our destiny since we lost the railroad to LA in the 19th century. But there sure is a lot of vibrant variety. And its a fantastic place to ride. I wonder how much the false sense of security created by these treatments plays in these crashes. I suspect such treatment emboldens and encourages bicyclists to mindless pass vehicles, including trucks and buses, on the right, exactly where they shouldn't... at intersections.

Diners meet at Clever Cycles at 5:30 p.m and depart at 6:00 p.m. This event finishes at the last restaurant sometime after sundown and before sunrise.

It is a legal requirement that all bicycles operating at night have a fully functioning headlight. Clever Cycles requires all bikes on this ride have both a head and taillight. Your bike may feel out-of-place on this ride if it does not have fenders and a kickstand!
