I met a very fascinating man recently and i asked him to hold a clinic and talk about his travels on March 10th, 7pm for about 2 hours.

His name is Derek Demarco and myself and my employee's after talking to him for about an hour are extremely excited to hear about his travels and his story. I don't want to give too much away but he's originally from Chico California and he got rid of all of his possessions and embarked on a bicycle tour/lifestyle with zero dollars in his pocket. His plan is to live on a bicycle indefinitely in a nomadic way.

He will also be touching on the "magic" of traveling with zero money. Most of my life i've traveled with no money because of this "magic" so i totally understand but im excited to hear his stories relating to this. I fully expect this to be an amazing use of time as does anybody else who was in my shop when he stopped in.

Currently he's staying with a friend in Golden Hill and we get a chance to hear not only about his travels but about his current lifestyle.

Show up with chairs and please bring people.

Ooo I am looking forward to this. As someone who is very afraid of taking risk (but learning to be better about this), I'm eager to hear what he has to say.

I enjoyed the talk that Derek gave. His adventure, still ongoing, reminded me of how much fun I had last year touring. It was the single biggest adventure of my life, so far. While he has a different approach to things than I do, I saw a lot of things in common, which was good. I wish him well on the rest of his journeys.

This was a most excellent event. I'm so glad to have listened to Derek talk about his adventures. Thanks for hosting Sky.

The company at The Station was also quite nice. I learned loads today. My brain is full.

It was inspiring. Thanks Derek and thanks VC for hosting. I came home and pulled the trigger on a trip to Asia. I hope to bail on Tuesday.

I saw Derek walking to the Big Kitchen for breakfast this morning, as I was heading downtown. Stopped and chatted for a few minutes. It is something how less serendipitous things get when you are on street level, paying attention. Thanks for putting that on last night. CCT
