In the process of doing some research on bike parking in San Diego for the SDBikeCommuter Discount Program, I came upon this City of San Diego .pdf document. It's part of a proposal and not yet fully implemented. If you read through it, not all the numbers add up and the MAINTENANCE AGREEMENT FOR ON STREET BICYCLE PARKING FACILITY seems rather burdensome.
It's a start and maybe soon we'll see these facilities in San Diego.
Don't want to bomb the page with a bunch of photos, but if anybody wants to see some shots from Tuesday I have some posted up on the FB here: Bike Night Photos
This gas price increase just might help me sell my extra bikes in the garage! The Zombie's will be looking for rolling stock. :face-devil-grin:

After Russ's Bromton got "unhinged" with the broken screw, I visited their site at The Path Less Pedaled, and bought a few T-shirts to support their efforts.

They've got some new ones that seem fun also. I wonder if they do volume discounts?
Posted by Mike Mannis on FB. Even an ALIEN knows how to use a bike-share. Looking at this guy reminds me of the ALIEN movies. Do you think motorist would give him more respect while on the road?
In case any of you are interested and we are doing up here I took some photos today. Still a long ways to go. I'm maybe 40% done with building and only have about 5% of the product I need to have.
Mark, it's 5000sf upstairs and 5000sf downstairs. The showroom has a live music stage (drawbridge), full surround sound system with my projector which will hold at least 200 people, a photo booth, and enough room to have about 400 people for large events. The downstairs will have a huge photo studio room, a room with a more intimate theater and 4 theater seats from the local vintage theater down the street, and who knows what with the rest of it. I plan to have fun with this building.
Here's a video I took of the drawbridge a little while ago. The background of the drawbridge will be faux stone someday with a mural that looks like you are looking into the courtyard of a castle. The thing weights 1500 pounds before we added onto it to make it a stage. It's got local history as it came out of the Canterbury Castle in the West Hills of Portland. It's about 100 years old and did at one time cross a moat and vehicles drove over it. I also have the cauldron and swinging arm bracket for it too. The cauldron is about 15 to 20 gallon's large. It's huge.
