The Filthy LandLubber Pubcrawl takes us in a 37 mile loop with start and finish in Oceanside, and makes re-hydration stops as follows:
Meet at Breakwater Brewery, Oceanside, at 11:00AM; leave at 11:30
8 miles to Oceanside Aleworks
7 miles to Mother Earth Brewery
6 miles to Lost Abbey
6 miles to Green Flash Beer
10 miles to Pizza Port Carlsbad Village

$35 gets you beer at each stop, t-shirt, pizza at Pizza Port, and above all - a great ride! Deadline for signups to be guaranteed a t-shirt is 2/12. Otherwise you can pay up to the day of, I think, if this works like it did last year.

But I wanted to let everyone know that if you plan to drive to the event there are two parking lots I'd like to suggest:

1) Downtown Carlsbad public parking lot near Pizza port (end of ride). Closest intersection is Carlsbad Village dr and Roosevelt then a few miles bike ride to starting point.

Came across a hiking event with health-minded folk which conflicts with this, so I'll pass on this ride as well.
Something about encouraging the combination of drinking and cycling while we discourage the combination of drinking and driving hasn't been sitting well with me.

Here's the start - only a few blocks from the O-side trolley terminus.

Here's the route. If you return south by Coaster, Carlsbad Village is the nearest station just a few blocks away from the finish (Pizza Port Carlsbad)

I don't want to be seen as waxing too philosophical about this, but seeing all kinds of bikeriders and bikes - pure roadies, MTBs, fixies, hybrids, Rivendells (I think I even saw a tandem [and this year we'll have a 'bent]!) - merrily interact and enjoy each other's company at the rides ad stops is, unfortunately, quite rare. But this ride provided exactly that opportunity - which is one of the reasons I enjoyed it so much last year.

Below is the first draft of the route that I think the ride will take...

Start at Breakwater Brewery
South on PCH
East on Oceanside boulevard (note speed max 50 MPH in most sections) to Oceanside Aleworks
(The Crouch st, El Camino Real, Rancho del Oro, College blvd, Melrose Sprinter Station near route just south of Oceanside blvd)

Keep heading east on Oceanside boulevard
South on Melrose dr, over hwy78 (note speed max 50 MPH in most sections)
East on Shadowridge dr, turn left on Watson Way, right on Thilbodo rd to Mother Earth brewery

Continue on Thilbodo rd
North on Sycamore, go under Hwy78
South on Santa Fe Ave (Buena Creek Sprinter station on intersection of Sycamore and Santa Fe. So this will be an option to take back to Oceanside)
Santa Fe changes to Mission Rd, pass Twin Oaks Valley rd, left on San Marcos Blvd, Right on Rancheros dr to Los Abbey
(San Marcos Civic Center Sprinter Station at the Mission rd and San Marcos intersection)
Back track to Mission rd (heading NW), Left on Las Posas rd, Right on West Linda vista dr, THEN turn on Linda Vista dr. (If you miss this turn then left on Poinsettia Ave, then right on Linda Vista dr), Left on vantage court to Green Flash Brewery

Back track to Pionsettia Ave, then R on Poinsettia Ave, L on Business park dr,
Head WEST on Palomar airport rd (ocean-ward) IT'S MOSTLY DOWNHILL FROM HERE (note speed max 50 MPH in most sections)
Right on Paseo del Norte
Left on Cannon Rd
North on PCH
Right on Tamarack
