Seems like it was a waste of time doing the group picture, since Mark had already taken the tag. My compliments on the angle of the Rudolph shot!

I am a little puzzled by that, too.

Anyways, here's the joint tag claim photo I took with Mark and had planned as backup (now a Bruce [click]) to the group shot:

Ooops! I had claimed the tag earliest last night. The group shot was supposed to be a Bruce photo. I guess we could use that for the the Fish Taco Thread. We had about 20 bicyclists last night

Whoops! Didn't realize how huge the photos were since I was posting from my phone. Fixed. There were so many good tag ops over where the next one is. I took a lot of photos; some were harder, some were much more obvious. I went with a happy medium I think!

This looks like fun. Maybe playing this game could be additive. I will need to visit here more often.
There is a lot going on here that I will have learn more about.
I am sure Mark or Hans can clue me in on the many parts of this page. Get ready for questions guys.

@Bob: There is nothing to it!

    1) Somebody posts a picture of their bike in a well-known location in San Diego City (not disclosing details about the location)
    2) You identify the location, ride out to the location, and take a picture of your bike in the same spot, taking care to compose the image as closely as you can to the original. Post it here. If you are the first one to do so:
    3) Within 48hrs, post here a picture of your bike in a well-known location in San Diego City (not disclosing details about the location)
    4) Back to 2), replacing "you" with "somebody else".
    5) Loop ad infinitum

    See?

Lucky me, the last tag brought me relatively close to where I needed to go to get ingredients for Naan-e nokhochi (a persian cookie made from chickpea flour, cardamom, rose water, and pistachio). Guess what? It's the next tag!

PS: Sigurd, your original photo of Tower is beautiful! Look at that sky! Sorry I couldn't reproduce it's beauty with my tag. I couldn't even get the exact angle because so many cars were parked in the way across the street.

Thanks! It is a very photogenic building -the colors, shapes, the design: The hardest part, as you mention, was to get the entire building, without showing the street sign (it would make it too easy!), and without getting run over.

PS! I have my sights set on a certain middle-eastern grocery store already...

Last one was Tat2fiend on 30th St.
Btw, anybody interested in big wheel mountain bikes, check out Mucho Mountain Bikes up the street. Justin has some Salsas built up with the huge Surly rims.

    Go get it.

Now I know I passed it--TWICE--and didn't notice it, albeit the first time I didn't know that the last tag had already been claimed and didn't know to look out for it. Haha. Oh boy. The bonus tag is on the way if you take El Cajon, but, I took University. However, there's another with a similar motif on that street as well (Ye Olde Bicycle Shoppe/Cafe)

    Rosa

Here's the bonus tag, which I grabbed on the way back (though I am still out) it is Pedal Pushing Bicycles at El Cajon and 50th

PS I got cussed out by some insane driver. He honked at me even though he could have comfortably passed me if he were deserving of a drivers license. Had I been riding any closer to the sidewalk I would have been on it. I responded with a "What do you want me to do?" and pointed to the next completely open lane and said get over!" He eventually did while telling me to "Shut up, bitch!"

A merry Christmas to you too!

Looked up San Diego's city boundaries map to think up some more tags. Huh! I didn't realize most of Lake Murray is actually within city boundaries. Thought it was all La Mesa. Interesting!

Yes, I believe that Lake Murray is inside City boundaries: But the map linked to is wildly inaccurate and only provides rudimentary boundary detail for both City and ZIP code boundaries: Too bad Google Maps doesn't show city/ZIP boundaries, but I will check if Google Earth has an overlay that does.

Although tags have been caught at a blistering pace the last couple of days,
the average turnaround is typically more like two or three days. Let the members ponder the tag for a few days: if still no grabs, feel free to provide some subtle hints.

No kidding. The ravine, and concrete grass border, are the only way to get this one. I'm not one to like being spoon-fed, but this one will have to be grabbed by a local. I don't see any other clues other than the color of the benches, and possibly the concrete pad that they're on. How about the same view, standing back 10'-20' ?
