    New

    The heat is on!

Last tag is the new bike corral which is at Louisiana and El Cajon Blvd
  1.
    Ha! That's hot!

What a sweltering day in San Diego.
I'm just barely home without being totally cooked well done.
I'm not sure where the tag is but the image says it all!

Power is out in North PB and throughout La Jolla and the Shores.
It could be a long hot week ahead.

Ride easy and be chill out there.

    OKB

new tag will be up tonight! got the perfect location... but i have to go straight to class right after work so it will be late when i get home to upload the pic, possibly too late to fit the time limit of the tag by a couple hours. so i guess its up to you guys to decide to go with the new one or if i get bruced...

lol... sorry if it seems a lil obscure, but it really is totally obvious if you've been by there, and tons of you have! thats why i narrowed down the shot the way i did, or it would have been painfully obvious. should i throw out a hint?

Give Svelocity a day or two to catch it - then, a hint would be appreciated.

Cancellara rode Flanders and the TdF on the 7 series team edition. I haven't heard of any other teams or riders on one but I'm eager to find out and follow them.

You run your saddle at a fairly extreme nose down tilt. What does this accomplish? Do you find yourself sliding down the seat or have lots of pressure on your arms?

I ride with nose down saddles, though not as extreme as that. With nose down, you do tend to slide forward, but your weight is on your sit bones, not on your prostate. Also, you can change your effective saddle height just by sliding fore or aft on the saddle. This is more difficult to do with a level or nose-up saddle.

I've just found nose down to be most comfortable for me (and especially the boys) while riding. Note the angle of the saddle on my touring/commuter bike. It does put a little more weight in the arms but I wouldn't call it "pressure" at least it's not uncomfortable at all. Like Shady said, it keeps the weight on the meat of my rump and only occasionally do I notice a slight slide forward when going over rougher terrain than fresh paved roads but I never haven't yet felt like I was sliding off or struggling to stay in. I put 60 miles on her yesterday and that was our first trip out. I've already made some tweaks so I'm sure I'll be making a few more here and there as we go along and break everything in.

I can only speak with absolutely certainty for myself, but I am guessing that every other cyclist in San Diego knows exactly where this is: It is more a lack of opportunity than a need for hint preventing this one from getting caught.

I would've caught it today or tomorrow if it weren't for the fact that I didn't/don't have an opportunity to ride out to the location either day.

This photo is riddled with clues. The icing on the cake is the little fence identifying the exact location. After the TJ Taco/Bluegrass ride today I'm going for it, along with anyone else that's game. Since Sigurd will be with us today, the competition could be tough going up the last gradual ascent. Game on!

Well I went to the area I thought it was but I couldn't find it. Must be inside the park. I have an annual pass but would most people have to pay $5 to get this shot?

I checked out your Strava and you were right there. Like Sigurd said no entry is required. I don't think having the exact fence, sign, and shrub is a requirement, but that's just IMO.
