ddA=0. Try Maxwell's equations now! And if ready, give the generalized gauge-invariant field strength derivation a go, you're sure to love the non-Abelian case, and so will your kids!

    A commanding tag! Now onward!

Hmmmm, I just realized my photo wasn't taken at the right fountain at the tag site, but the one right next to it...does this void the tag?

We'll call it "close enough" and declare it a valid claim.

On that note, it is always a good idea to bring a photo printout (or Internet device) when hunting to make sure the claim image is as identical to the tag image as possible.

Over what view does this place preside?

Hopefully this mark makes up for my previous marginal failure; happy pedaling! I'll give a hint in a day our so if necessary. [I took two photos in anticipation of my tagging a location previously done. So this is the second photo. Oh well, Alan.]

PS- The previous tag was in Liberty Station in Point Loma(?) at the NTC Command Center promenade.

I think I know the neighborhood where this photo is taken, but cannot nail down the exact location off the top of my head: Nothing a bit of Googling can't resolve, I suppose!

This is at the intersection of Presidio Dr., Arista St, and Marilouise Way. I ride by it almost every time I commute home. It is the start of the decent (or end of the climb) of Presidio hill. Cheers!

The last tag was at San Diego Yacht Club on Shelter Island: Only two yacht clubs in the city (Mission Bay and San Diego) have active Sabot classes - I knew the photo was not from Mission Bay, so by deduction - well you get the idea.

Here's the new tag - go get it.

Side note: It may appear from the photo as though the area is inaccessible on bike.. However, I do not want to create a precedence for tags in locations that bikes can not be ridden to: Just to avoid any misunderstanding, this location can be ridden to, there is a singletrack trail right to it -- with decent tires and some local knowledge!

Well done! Even more impressed you knew it was a Sabot! It does have that clog looking symbol at the head of the sail but I didn't show that in the photo.

The "pre-flight" preparations were extra interesting due the fact that the statue was "too new" (it was dated 2009 by the artist) to appear in either Google Satellite View or Street View: Without the statue, the location is basically a gray wall with a number on it, and little else.

I have added the location (Point #30) to Alan's map linked to in Post #1 to this thread.

It is currently closed for passage as an Eucaluptus fell down on it about four weeks ago and broke several weight-carrying trestles and beams.

The name of the canyon is Maple Canyon - named by the street that leads into it from down below (off State St.).

I can think of only four in San Diego that go out into the ocean like that and only two of them are concrete.

Based on how the surf is breaking I think I know which one it is.

Disclaimer: to get to the exact site of this photo, one must do about 20 feet of "trespassing" beyond a fence that is not really keeping anyone out. There is no harm, I think, in going to the site because the real fence keeping one out is not crossed. I'll post a different photo if y'all think I am breaking the rules.

The last tag was at the pier at Scripps Institute for Oceanography, as gavilan hinted :face-monkey:.

I'd say the 20 feet of trespassing is okay, but I'm not sure there are enough visual cues in the photo to make a decent guess, but maybe that's just me. :-)

I have no idea where most of these tags even are! Random ocean spot, random bridge, random god only know where. Glad the rest of you are all knowledgeable enough to figure out these nooks and crannies.

I mean riding up Mt. Soledad last weekend some parts looked like I was riding on Genesee (random shrub next to random incline). When I get Alzheimers I am going to be constantly lost.

A hint, because I thought it might be difficult to identify with the sun like that (I was too impatient to wait!):

    1. I chose the spot based upon where in the marker map there were gaps in tagged locations (as in, where have we not tagged yet?)
    2. The spot is very obvious from space.

Perhaps I should modify my hint to say it is in a neighborhood we haven't tagged yet, rather than being very far from any other tag.

    Don't want to mislead anyone.
