Last one was the Coastal Rail trail in Carlsbad (at the intersection with Chestnut Street) Love that section of path, but honestly I can NEVER find it unless I'm out to look for it specifically. If I'm just riding the coast I always miss the entrance. :face-monkey: -

The south end of that rail trail is located on Tamarack ave; the north end is on Oak Ave near the "Fish House" -

Hint: Follow the north star, use a compass, OR JUST GOOGLE IT. The current tag is visible in satellite view.
If you do find your way to the north star make sure you enjoy the breath taking scenery and solitude. -

LOL - those poor balloons. I had to get them out for a ride. Anyone who came to Politifest this weekend got to see them in their true glory for about 15 minutes, until someone came by and told us that helium balloons are not allowed at Liberty Station since they are directly in the flight path for the airport and could cause an aviation incident. So the balloons had to spend the whole time in my car. :( They were still in my car this morning, so I thought that a cheery balloon-filled ride would be just the ticket. It was - turns out a bunch of balloons is an awesome conversation starter. And it made for some nice pictures! -

People did give me extra space today. But you have to be careful. If you look closely, you can see where one of those green ones had a 'too close' encounter with my back wheel... and it took me a few tries before I had the ribbons tucked away securely enough that I was sure they wouldn't end up snagging any moving parts.
They did give me a little lift up all those 'surprise stairs' at Ponto! -

As a bonus, you cans see these gorgeous flowers nearby. I have never seen these before- if anyone knows what they're called, let me know. Want it for my new landscaping.

That was actually Hans' idea. I had the smartphone, he knew the location of the tag. It was convenient to take Urban BS Tuesday Taco ride there because it was enroute to our destination. -
