    The clue is the surfer and his rather awkward stance. Is the food there any good?

    You can also take the train. Get the tag, ride around to find a new tag, take the train back to SD.

    I still ride in Oceanside! It's a couple blocks out of my way but I swung up there and took the picture this morning. This afternoon, the SWAT team closed off several blocks so I detoured though an alley and passed the shop again.

    My Brompton setup weighs in at 30 lbs. Modern roadbikes are much lighter than that. A little portage-ing/ cycloross practice anyone?

    75' downhill from the vantage point I was stopped by this fence, sign, and the Sheriffs department with guns drawn.

    Carrying my bike though 400' of soft sand, then carrying it up around 30 steps is no big deal, although I really wouldn't call it riding. Guns drawn on me and being searched was a bit excessive, although I understand their reasoning. The trails are closed for habitation restoration and the house next door is valued at 8.6 million.
    I didn't feel it appropriate to ask the deputies if I could turn 180* and take a vantage photo...

    ... So upon Mark's approval, I'd like to submit this as the next tag. I wanted to get it posted due to it being the holiday weekend, and most of you will be out riding hours before I wake up.

    When I went there I did see that sign. So I figured going through that sign was prohibited. But there is a narrow asphalt path to the right which leads to the top of the bluff. I've seen many locals come up there. See an almost triangular route to the benches.

    This bicycle friendly community in north county has installed many of these updated signage to go along with the sharrows on the road.
    This particular location is near a beach, a small park, a bridge, and a cafe :face-angel:

    I didn't see it this morning. I'll try again tomorrow.....I realized tonight that this was closer to our neighborhood then it really hit me that it has been a while since I've gone down those stairs.
