I know at least Mark and I were at the show, and I saw Andrew from Adams Ave. Bikes, so here is a place to post some pictures. More than a few belt-driven bikes.
Gena, Nic and I enjoyed the show. It got very crowded very early on. So we called it a day around 12:30. Then came back just to check out the new Brompton model H3L with the higher handlebar. I will post photos sometime this week. We were told at the show and by locals that it was beer week. Here's a Stout beer gelato to cool me down on this very sunny day. :face-devil-grin:
Great art for motion. These pictures only captured a glimpse and does not entirely capture the experience of seeing it in person. Brompton even had a booth to demo several models including the new H model (high handlebar).
We visited Bicycle City Works near the convention center. This store was VERY busy on a sunny Saturday. People of all ages and wearing regular clothes were bicycling around midtown. Even Gena and Nic said that they felt more comfortable riding their bikes there more than the streets of Santa Monica.
We saw many bicyclists wearing regular clothing just riding around town. Bicycle parking racks were full or at least occupied.
More women asked Gena about her pink Brompton. The question of the day was "what is the purpose of that bicycle?" (duh!) because this woman saw it for the first time.
