these two bands are touring together and they are both from Portland. they will be here Wednesday evening at the Bar Pink Elephant.

first is Scott McDougal who plays what i call "Hobo Americana". he's a "one man band" with a hearty strong voice and he sings about traveling and hobo'ing which he DOES do.

the headline is Hillstomp. They have a blues/bluegrass kind of sounds. these guys tear it up! two man band with one guy on vocals and guitar while the other one plays buckets, pots, pans, and anything else he can get his hands on.

the last time Hillstomp was in SD they brought the house down and it was a Monday night and they were totally unknown in SD.

i don't ofter recommend bands or music this these two bands are the exception. who wants to go with me?

cool. they'll be playing until at least midnight. im serious when i say you guys will dig the sound. it's universally rad.

if anybody wants to sleep with the band members they'll be sleeping on my living room floor tonight.
