I just moved to SD to start a graduate program at SDSU. I was wondering if anybody has suggestions for the best/safest bike route to get from University Heights (Near 2105 Mission Ave, San Diego, CA 92116) to SDSU's campus. I was considering the following:

1)Taking Adams to Fairmount Ave Exp to Montezuma Rd

    2)El Cajon to College Ave

I wasn't sure if there is a better, safer route. I appreciate any advice!

Agreed on ECB avoidance: This route is pretty pleasant (at what point you choose to transition from Adams to Meade doesn't matter that much; you could do it much earlier than my route above, for example at 30th or Texas).

I live in El Cerrito (close to SDSU) and take Orange / Howard going West and Adams / ECB going back East. El Cajon Blvd east of 52nd isn't bad. College Ave between SDSU and Adelaide Ave is ok too but you want to avoid College Ave south of University Ave.
